Job Description
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated detail-oriented and interested in a career involving analytical data management database programming or data science. As part of our team you will work on large environmental projects across US and support ERMs projects worldwide.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
-Produce drawings layouts sketches maps and graphics of engineering design using computer-aided drafting software
-Requires a good working knowledge of AutoCAD construction documents and technical knowledge
-Produce detailed high-quality cartographic products and accompanying reports
-Compile manipulate and refine geographic data from a variety of sources including but not limited to field observation digital aerial photography and existing maps
-Perform regular quality control checks of GIS Data and non-spatial databases
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
5 years of experience in civil or surveying drafting design
5 years of experience using AutoCAD is a plus
5 year of GIS experience
A university degree is required
Proficiency in ArcMap Pro and the ArcGIS Esri suite with a solid understanding of geodatabases coordinate systems projections and spatial data management.
Experience with spatial analysis techniques data interpolation methods (e.g. IDW Kriging).
Experience managing small projects and junior staff.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
General knowledge of basic geologic principles and the environmental sciences.
Proficiency in standard office suite software applications.
Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients regulatory officials and fellow employees.
Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear concise manner. Ability to learn through on-the-job experience.
