We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. As a Senior GL Accountant you will have the chance to collaborate cross-functionally support month-end close processes and drive process improvements in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
- Manage and perform Fixed Asset Intangible Asset Lease Inter Company Transactions Transfer Pricing Prepaid GRIR Stock Rotation Legal and Professional Accrual Tax activities related to the general ledger including journal entries account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Play key role in the month-end and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and in accordance with IFRS
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist in annual audit.
- Collaborate with AP AR Payroll FP&A and other departments to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
- Support various system implementation and upgrade
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff providing guidance and oversight as needed.
- Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred).
- 5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting or finance
- Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS accounting principles and financial controls.
- Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA Concur Excel PowerPoint Word and Banking Platforms (JPMorgan Access)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent people skills and great teamwork attitude
- Self-starter with tenacity and sufficient curiosity to ask the right questions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
Additional information (Location) - Based in The Philippines
- Must be amenable to future RTO/Hybrid onsite reporting in Ortigas Metro Manila
