Who we are looking for:
Slate is looking for a Front End Engineer (Senior) to build customer-facing experiences in the electric vehicle space. You must be able to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced startup environment where your contributions have a direct impact on the companys direction and success and should not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
What you get to do:
- You work closely with other Software Engineers and Front-End Engineers to design the system architecture.
- You collaborate with UX and Product teams to invent new experiences and build mobile / web apps that put customers first.
- You prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility of novel user interfaces.
- You code and test front-end components.
- You relentlessly simplify demonstrating significant innovation creativity and judgement when solving challenging problems.
- You are considered an authority on technical issues by the technical and business community and are frequently consulted for making difficult trade-off decisions.
- You assist in the career development of others actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members. What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of professional experience in Front-End Web or Mobile software development using JavaScript HTML and CSS.
- 7 years of professional experience utilizing Computer Science fundamentals (object-oriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis).
- 5 years of experience working in the Agile methodology for software development.
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as React Angular or Vue.
- Experience with common Front-End technologies such as HTML CSS JavaScript TypeScript and Node.
- Knowledge of web services technologies such as REST HTTP WSDL and XSD. Experience building scalable distributed Front-End experiences.
