Position Overview
The Capital Development Board (CDB) is looking to hire a CDB Account Technician to perform technical accounting work in the Fiscal Division including but not limited to reconciliation of account discrepancies preparing vouchers for submissions and conducting CDB state property inventory. The candidate should be motivated to work in a busy fiscal area.
Essential Functions
- Under general direction serves as account technician performing technical accounting work in the Fiscal division for the Capital Development Board (CDB).
- Assists in conducting CDBs state property physical inventory.
- Reconciles account discrepancies.
- Prepares the completed and batched vouchers for submission to Docuware for retention.
- Responsible for assigning state vehicles by supplying keys and completing appropriate paperwork serving as back up for picking up and distribution of fiscal mail and monitoring and ordering CDB office supplies in the absence of coworkers.
- Responsible for retention trust accounts daily deposits and de-obligation memos.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college OR requires three (3) years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers two (2) years experience working with the laws and regulations regarding state or non-state accounting procedures.
- Prefers working knowledge of associated software applications including Microsoft Suite.
- Prefers working knowledge of principles and functions of computerized office accounting procedures and processes and operational use of the Statewide Accounting Management System or any computerized accounting system.

The Capital Development Board (CDB) oversees the construction of new state facilities such as prisons state parks mental health institutions and college and university projects. In addition CDB is responsible for renovation and rehabilitation projects at over 8770 state-owned buildings spread over more than 100 million square feet of floor space.
