This is a part time position
Summary:
Determines how to establish communication priorities along with the Pastor and Business Manager within the parish through the use of the parish paper social media and website and assists with office support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transcribe write format and disseminate formational and marketing materials in various digital and print formats
Prepare and development of weekly parish bulletin and e-blasts
Responsible for social media platforms and updating of website
Collaborate with the Family of Parishes for best practices for communication
Assist in answering phones and / or visitor inquiries in office
Assist in the input of new parishioner information
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to Priest in Solidum Business Manager and Parish Secretary
Skills and Qualifications:
Passionate about the Ministry of the Catholic Church and supporting the parish mission
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with members of parish staff
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledgeable computer skills (MS Office / ParishSoft / Facebook / MailChimp)
Ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects
Must be able to complete the Archdiocese of Detroit Protecting Gods Children training and pass a criminal background check
