Employment Status: Part-time

Schedule: Weekdays for rehearsals and Saturdays for wedding services
Summary: The Wedding Mass and Rehearsal Assistant works in coordination with the Wedding Coordinator and Pastor to provide support for wedding rehearsals and wedding Mass liturgies. The Assistant prepares materials and liturgies for rehearsals and wedding Masses helps direct rehearsals and supports the Pastor during the wedding Mass.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing for wedding rehearsals generally the day or evening before the wedding Mass. Must ensure that the Sanctuary is ready for the rehearsal and all materials are available for the wedding party. If necessary contact should be made with the Facilities staff to assist with set-up movement of kneelers and chairs etc. Coordination with the Pastor is also required to allow for a productive rehearsal.Qualifications and Requirements:
Is a practicing Catholic who supports and adheres to the religious standards policies and procedures of the Archdiocese of San Antonio especially as relates to the Sacrament of Marriage.
Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to give great attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
Must have great customer service skills.
Flexibility enthusiasm and imagination.
Ability to work on weekends/evenings when an event is scheduled.
Maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.
Must demonstrate ability of serving collaboratively and professionally with other members of the parish staff.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to various levels of office staff ministry leaders parishioners and guests.
Punctuality and reliability are a must.
Meet all Archdiocesan employment requirements.
Provide proof of valid drivers license and insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Competency in the Churchs sacramental theology and teaching on Marriage preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) but not required.
Physical Demands/ Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee must have the ability to work with building/facility environments. The employee should have the ability to occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds
