Nursery Room Leader Level 3 40 hours per week 28000

Our client a warm and nurturing early years setting is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a passionate early years professional to step into a leadership role guiding a room team and shaping the learning experiences of young children aged 05.

As Room Leader youll be responsible for creating a stimulating safe and inclusive environment where children thrive. Youll lead by example support the development of your team and work closely with families to ensure each child receives the highest standard of care and education.

What Youll Need

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (NVQ or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting ideally with room leader or senior practitioner responsibilities
  • A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and safeguarding practices
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A caring motivated and proactive approach to working with children and supporting a team

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team within your designated room to deliver engaging age-appropriate learning based on the EYFS
  • Ensure a safe nurturing environment that supports every childs individual needs and development
  • Act as a key person observing and assessing childrens progress and maintaining up-to-date records
  • Mentor and support colleagues promoting best practice in all aspects of care and education
  • Build strong trusting relationships with parents and carers through daily communication and updates
  • Ensure your room operates smoothly maintaining high standards of health safety and hygiene
  • Contribute to the wider success of the nursery working closely with the management team
