Primary Responsibilities
- Serve customers with their questions and needs either in person via the phone or through online ordering
- Be a Team Player by cultivating and managing lifetime relationships with internal and external customers
- Own the sales process and verify inventory for sales orders for customer pick up or delivery
- Be proactive and Work until the jobs is done right on all customer opportunities to grow sales with current and potential customers
- Work with Business Development to drive sales through the branch and provide solutions to customers by developing customer quotes and orders and following up on all communication.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the MNI Direct company policies as they pertain to Sales and Quoting Processes.
- Submit all qualified quotes to the Quoting Team on a timely basis. Communicate and follow up with the customers on submitted quotes.
- Perform other duties as required and serve as a resource for the MNI Direct team.
Required Skills Knowledge & Training
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or secondary diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Green industry experience or knowledge of horticulture landscape and/or nursery a plus
SKILLS AND TRAINING:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Expert customer service skills
- Ability to operate the customer ordering and inventory system.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers. business associates.
- Ability and desire to learn plant names characteristics and sources.
- Possess and maintain a valid clean state Drivers License.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting and standing
- Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (M-F)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Work until the job is done right.
