Role: Service Delivery Analyst (Service Desk)

Department: IS

Location:Moss Way Sheffield

Salary: 27747 - 30468 (plus 20% shift allowance and weekend working)

Hours: 37

Contract Type: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Delivery Analyst to work on our internal IS Service Desk based at either Moss Way Sheffield South Yorkshire or Melton Police Building Hull Humberside.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills and knowledge to support policing in South Yorkshire and Humberside.

The key responsibility of this role is to provide a single central point of contact for all users of IT services handling all incidents problems queries and requests through our telephone service email and online support portal.

The successful candidate will be providing excellent customer service and effective first line fault resolution as laid down in IT best practice and within the timescales specified in existing Service Level Agreements.

This role brings the opportunity to gain knowledge of police specific applications and public sector working as well as allowing access for the successful candidate to the wide range of benefits that come with it including generous annual leave allowances and flexible working.

Skills and experience:

  • Good Telephone Manner.
  • Previous IT Service Desk experience.
  • Good Interpersonal and Communication skills.
  • An understanding of IT/Communications & Telephony equipment.
  • Good Administration and Customer Care skills.
  • Good Questioning and Fault Diagnosis Skills.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
