Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager Supervisor or designate the Technical Specialist is responsible for planning designing and implementing technology standards and solutions in accordance with Digital Services standards and Enterprise Architecture.
Experience
- Experience with or understanding of IT architectural procedures and processes.
- Experience with infrastructure architecture design.
- Minimum of 5 years experience establishing and maintaining technology strategy and planning used to guide technology decisions.
- Experience influencing and communicating technology recommendations effectively.
- Experience managing workload on a project-by-project basis reporting to a Project Manager or a Technical Project Manager delivering technical solutions as part of a project delivery team.
- Experience working with Operations Teams to transition technologies from planning and testing into production.
- Experience leading teams to identify root causes of complex technical issues.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- BSc in Computer Science Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or other post-secondary technical diploma plus related experience.
- Certifications or relevant experience in technical domains (e.g. Azure/AWS Solutions Cloud/Hybrid-Cloud Citrix Enterprise Storage HL7 Enterprise Middleware Networking Information Security IT Project Management) required.
