The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized scalable and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
We are looking for aSeniorDevOps Engineer(f/m/d) in the areas ofBusiness Technology Platform - Foundationwithin theTechnology & Engineeringunit of theSovereign Cloud Delivery & Operationsteam in thePlatform Engineeringboard area.
In this role you will join the Sovereign Cloud Platform engineering team. We build harden and operate the SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by the regional Operations teams. You will be working closely with SAP product teams technical product managers developers security experts and regional operators. You will be working on deployment automation product operations/deployments deployment documentation as well as supporting SAP Sovereign Cloud regional operations teams.
What you bring
Due to the classified nature of our work your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process and thus have an EU NATO or FIVE EYES country member nationality. Besides that you bring:
- University degree in computer science engineering or similar
- Professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
- Experience with technologies like Container Orchestration (Kubernetes) Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible) Monitoring and Logging (Prometheus Elasticsearch Kibana or Grafana)
- Good knowledge of public cloud providers (AWS GCP and Azure) and their product offerings
- Good Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Good knowledge of Cloud infrastructure architecture and design
- Experience with Security like HashiCorp Vault
- Fundamental SAP product knowledge Public Cloud like BTP Success Factors and as well Private Cloud Products
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform and CI/CD pipelines e.g. Jenkins CircleDI DroneCI or ArgoCD as well as knowledge of Git (preferred) or SVN
- Prior team or work stream lead experience
- Experience in Cloud Native technologies such as Kubernetes (K8s) Docker and microservices is a big plus
- Decision-making and can-do attitude
- Methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Persistence self-motivation and willingness to work under pressure
- Fluency in written and spoken English
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
- 2 years of Automation experience

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 149400 - 253800(USD) actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skillsexperience scope ofthe role location etc. as determinedthrough theselection process.
