Shop Manager
Manufacturing Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team and lead operations with a hands-on engineering-minded approach. This is a key leadership role that goes beyond traditional shop management offering the opportunity to shape the companys future through process improvement technical mentorship and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the CNC machining floor including scheduling productivity and quality control.
Lead mentor and develop machinists and technical staff to maintain a high-performing production environment.
Collaborate with ownership and engineering teams to implement best practices and support customer-driven solutions.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks tooling challenges and workflow inefficiencies.
Ensure consistent compliance with quality standards job specifications and safety procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput cost reduction and equipment utilization.
Support quoting planning and project execution for prototype and production runs.
Coordinate with purchasing QC and logistics to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
Provide hands-on leadership and technical insight to support a culture of precision and accountability.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of leadership or management experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment.
Mechanical Engineering background preferred
Deep understanding of machining principles tooling GD&T and manufacturing processes.
Proven ability to lead teams manage priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
Strong communication decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Experience in a high-mix low-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
