Job Summary
The Baseball Assistant Coach working under the direction of the Head Coach oversee the administration of a successful Division I baseball program. Responsibilities include coaching recruiting and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist the baseball coach in instruction and on field needs at all practices and home and away games. Monitor student-athletes grades and class attendance. Recruit prospective student-athletes for the baseball program Oversee all records related to baseball including processing and reconciling travel vouchers recording and track fundraising donations preparing purchase orders and maintaining the inventory for apparel and equipment. Schedule and organize all team travel including means of transportation hotels meals and entry fees. Maintain the Clay Gould Ballpark and Clubhouse. Also take care of the indoor hitting facility Organize and oversee baseball camps and clinics: coordinate and manage camp applications and fees hire camp workers and coordinate financial payments for camp meals facilities and workers Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree. Two (2) years of baseball coaching experience or two (2) years as a student-athlete participating in collegiate baseball or two (2) years working in a collegiate baseball program.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) or more years of college baseball coaching experience or three (3) years experience as a student-athlete participating in collegiate baseball. Experience working with Teamworks.
Work Schedule
Non-traditional hours/weekends required. Work schedule varies and includes evenings and weekends.
