Recent organizational growth and modernization efforts have created an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper to join their finance team. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact in a close-knit high-performing environment while contributing to the financial stability and strategic planning of the business.
Key Responsibilities
As the Bookkeeper you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Record keeping & Transactions:
o Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases receipts sales and payments.
o Ensure the integrity of general ledger entries and adherence to internal controls and procedures.
Reconciliation & Reporting:
o Perform regular bank credit card and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
o Prepare and generate financial reports including income statements and balance sheets for management review.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
o Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely invoicing payment processing and collections.
o Liaise with clients and vendors to resolve billing inquiries and maintain strong financial relationships.
Payroll & Compliance Support:
o Assist with processing payroll and remittances in compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
o Maintain accurate records to support audits tax filings and government reporting requirements.
Collaboration & Process Improvement:
o Collaborate closely with the finance and operations teams to support budgeting forecasting and financial planning efforts.
o Contribute ideas for improving bookkeeping processes and implementing system efficiencies.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:
Education & Experience:
o A diploma or certificate in Accounting Bookkeeping or a related field is preferred.
o 35 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a professional services or similar environment.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Sage or Xero is required.
o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools is an asset.

o Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
o A proactive solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
