The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join the maintenance crew at Pembroke Resources new autonomous mine in the Bowen Basin - the Olive Downs Complex.

Pembroke Resources Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-East of Moranbah which commenced mining operations has recently been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations including mine planning overburden removal drill and blast load and haul (autonomous) water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.

About The Role

• Assist tradespeople with day-to-day tasks including maintenance repairs and installations.
• Safely operate cranes (C6 or higher) as required ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

About you

As a successful applicant youll be a high-achieving safety-focused individual whoenjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment. Your attention to detail coupled with your commitment to delivering high quality work will also ensure your success in this role.

Experience in conducting crane operations and hold/or be able to obtain the following competencies:

• You hold a C6 or higher crane ticket.
• You possess an Intermediate Rigger ticket.
• You have a Dogman ticket.
• You hold a Non-Slew Crane ticket.
• You have a High-Risk Forklift ticket.
• You possess an Overhead Crane ticket.
• You have a current Standard 11 certification.
• A current HR Drivers License is preferred but not essential.
• An Elevated Work Platform and/or Trainer and Assessor certificate would be highly regarded.
• Previous experience in a trade assistant role or similar position is preferred.
• You have a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in the mining industry.
• You work effectively both in a team and independently.
• You possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• You are willing to work in a physically demanding environment.
• You have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
