Job Description
About this opportunity:
Join Cenovus Energy as a Downstream Rotating Equipment subject matter expert recognized for deep technical expertise in pumps compressors turbines and motors. Youll provide leadership in rotating equipment reliability and mechanical integrity programs across our downstream operations ensuring compliance performance and safety. This role is key in shaping corporate standards supporting operations and representing Cenovus in industry forums. Preference to individuals who currently reside or can relocate to Dublin OH or any of the US Cenovus Refineries (Lima OH; Toledo OH; Superior WI).
What youll do:
Develop and maintain standards for rotating equipment design inspection and reliability.
Lead equipment failure analysis fitness-for-service evaluations and preventive strategies.
Support asset teams with troubleshooting vendor selection and risk-based mitigation plans.
Drive performance improvement through collaboration with engineering operations and projects.
Mentor engineering staff and lead rotating equipment training programs.
Facilitate the Rotating Equipment Community of Practice and represent Cenovus on key industry committees.
Who you are:
Legally authorized to work in the US
Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience
20 years of downstream experience in rotating equipment and reliability
10 years in mechanical integrity programs in refining petrochemicals or related sectors
Strong knowledge of API and ASME standards and proven leadership in technical mentoring
