Role Description/Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Community Coordinator to join our team in the British Council School of Madrid supporting both internal and external stakeholder engagement as well as operational administration. This role offers a diverse and dynamic range of responsibilities including managing communications overseeing administrative processes supporting sales and admissions handling procurement organizing events and ensuring efficient data management and reporting. Additionally the position involves supervising customer service staff managing small to medium-sized projects and executing specialist administrative tasks that contribute to the seamless operation of the school.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with leadership and management teams gaining valuable experience in school stakeholder engagement and operational administration. A strong ability to plan and organize combined with a flexible and detail-oriented approach will be essential to navigating the various responsibilities of the role. Role Accountabilities
This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities that are essential to the efficient functioning of the school with duties assigned and reviewed as part of the performance management process. The administrator will be expected to adapt to changing operational requirements and gain familiarity with all sections of the school fostering professional development while contributing to the institutions success.
The position involves managing relationships and stakeholder communication with current prospective and new families staff and alumni. Sharing school news organizing events such as open days and ceremonies and supporting bilingual English/Spanish communication are integral aspects of this role. The successful candidate will also optimize processes and working practices ensuring effective engagement with school section leaders managers and other key stakeholders.
Financial and resource management responsibilities will include purchasing equipment and services contract administration budget reporting and liaising with suppliers to ensure proper service provision. Additionally the administrator will oversee the planning and coordination of projects and initiatives that contribute to the schools ongoing success. Service and product delivery support will involve generating reports preparing statistics handling data managing paper and digital records and utilizing business-specific tools to enhance efficiency.
The role also requires strong leadership and teamwork skills supporting customer service staff while collaborating within the section administration team and across different sections of the school. General responsibilities include participating in duties outlined in the National Private Schools Collective Agreement and undertaking other reasonable tasks related to the job purpose as assigned by the line manager.
