TITLE:STEM Coach
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Arizona Elementary Teaching Certification
- Math or Science Endorsement or approved subject area
- Demonstrates the ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction
- Possesses collaborative leadership skills mentoring skills and knowledge of the adult learners
- Ability to synthesize and communicate assessment results and currentSTEM research
- Demonstrates effective communication skills
- Demonstrates initiative and ability to be an innovative thinker
- At least three years of teaching experience
- Masters degree (preferred)
REPORTS TO: Principal
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contributes to the accomplishment of district and school goals and priorities.
- Serves as a lead facilitator for professional development in mathematics science and technology for K-8 teachers.
- Provides instructional intervention as determined by the needs at the site.
- Facilitates grade levels in interpreting and utilizing various assessment data for instructional planning.
- Models effective standards-based STEM instructional practices to meet the needs of a diverse populations (ELD SPED and etc.).
- Facilitates implementation of effective research-based instructional strategies such as flexible grouping of students differentiating instruction small group math support etc.
- Serves as a leader in the implementation of district curriculum and instructional programs.
- Participates in mentor training and serves as mentor to designated staff.
- Works collaboratively with building and district administration.
- Participates in curriculum design adoption and assessment development.
- Assists with the organization and implementation of district and state assessments.
- Participates in the Collaborative Support Team.
- Serves as a communication liaison on the mathematics science and technology curriculum and programs between teachers parents community members administration and students.
- Assists with the development alignment and implementation of STEM curriculum thatemphasizeshigh levels of achievement.
- Assists in the development of a school-within-a-school model related to STEM.
- Provides leadership coaching and professional development to staff.
- Supports with district and school event not limited to Math and Science Nights Math Challenges Science and Engineering Fairs etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Ten month employee on the Certified Teacher Placement Schedule. Candidates are eligible for an additional $5000 stipend.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on evaluation of Professional Staff.
