Location: Ancaster ON Canada (onsite)
As our next Accountant youll be at the forefront of managing the financial reporting and internal controls that support the operations of our Ancaster plant. Your expertise in accounting financial analysis and compliance will be crucial to ensuring timely and accurate financial insights that drive operational excellence.
A key role with visibility across operations finance and leadership

Conduct full cycle month-end closings (AR AP Inventory Fixed Assets) on a 2-day close cycle
Maintain financial controls reporting systems and ensure compliance with internal policies and IFRS standards
Prepare and analyze financial statements KPIs and variance reports for senior management
Submit financials to parent company and maintain accurate general ledger records and reconciliations
Coordinate physical inventory counts and align with book valuations
Develop ad hoc models to support other departments (materials HR engineering operations)
Liaise with auditors and corporate officers during external and internal audits
Monitor production metrics scrap machine and labor efficiencies and implement cost control initiatives
Professional accounting designation (CPA preferred)
Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
35 years of accounting experience ideally in a manufacturing environment
Deep understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working under IFRS standards
Familiarity with cost control systems and continuous improvement processes
Previous exposure to ERP systems and sub-ledger management
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
