Job Description:
The Director is responsible for developing goals and objectives that are actionable and align with UToledo Healths Mission and Strategic Plan. It is also responsible for managing Health Information Management (HIM) functions including the processing of legal medical documents and requests and document scanning entered into the electronic medical record as well as coding and documentation provided by a contracted coding company. This role is also responsible to ensure privacy and confidentiality of patient and institutional data for UTMC. Also assists medical and administrative leadership in evaluating and designing the quality and appropriateness of health information services for patients and health care services.
