PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To maintain production equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn to do the following -
- Answer production service calls in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and repair faulty equipment.
- Record repairs of faulty equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn to do the following -
- Build tables frames fixtures etc. for production processes.
- Order and inventory spare parts.
- Evaluate equipment failure records for implementation of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Attend ATP (Advanced Team Process) CI (Continuous Improvement) and other support group meetings.
- Assist in the installation modification and relocation of equipment.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures safety regulations company safety policies and safely perform all duties including but not limited to promoting a safe workplace.
- Maintain high level of honesty integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
POSITION DEMANDS:
- Basic understanding of mechanical electrical vacuum pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred. Record keeping skills preferred.
- Ability to maneuver in or around equipment.
- Basic PC skills preferred.
BEHAVIORAL/VALUES CHARACTERISTICS:
- Must be organized and self motivated in order to work well independently of others.
- Must be able to work effectively within a team. Must be honest and dependable.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Tool Room Group Leader.
- Works closely with production and production support groups.
