Dignity Health Advanced Imaging a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 23 locations across Redding Santa Cruz Sacramento Woodland. Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients. The locations perform more than 175000 exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging compassionate care and timely service with a smile.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging the Ultrasound Tech Coordinator is responsible for directing the staff in their work assignments troubleshoots equipment problems and acts as a resource for technical or clinical information. Provides training to other staff on equipment operation and new procedures/protocols. Works with management team to maintain manuals. These Principal Accountabilities Requirements and Qualifications are not exhaustive but are merely the most descriptive of the current job. Management reserves the right to revise the job description or require that other tasks be performed when the circumstances of the job change (for example emergencies staff changes workload or technical development).
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of recent relevant experience
Associates or equivalent education/experience
- RDMS; BLS-CPR
- Knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and pathology. Complete understanding of Ultrasound methodology equipment and radiopharmaceuticals is required. Knowledge of technological advancements equipment sophisticated diagnostic imaging equipment for all services and other state-of-the art departmental specific systems is desirable. Team leadership and organizational skills are required. An ability to prioritize multiple demands is critical. Written and oral communication skills An ability to build teams as well as consensus is desirable. Effective interpersonal skills are required. Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently. Will maintain all technical skills in the area of certification and be competent to perform all related duties as an Ultrasound technologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of recent relevant experience. OB All three trimesters Breast experience. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
