Job Description
Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern
Teledyne ETM has an opening for a full-time summer intern. This is an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering student to gain experience working with our team of engineers. This is a temporary position. Expected wage is $25/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Engineering documentation support test procedures document clean-up research components and locate spec sheets
- Engineering analysis and/or testing
- Some design work support a Senior Engineer with some minor design efforts
- Some integration effort that supports the design work
- Obsolescence and qualification help determine suitable replacements for parts that have or will become obsolete and help to set up a plan to qualify the parts
- Help investigate non-conformance issues and assist in writing failure reports
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2-3 years of completed coursework in Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen U.S. national legal permanent resident asylee refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
