Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight to the Employee Success and Career Development and implement long-term strategy and overall direction for the success of the units.
  • Design and manage programs that promote holistic employee success and engagement throughout the employment lifecycle. This may include but is not limited to onboarding recognition and retention initiatives career development mentoring and talent development.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with the Universitys values and mission. Develop initiatives to improve employee success retention and job satisfaction.
  • Identify professional development and create curated programs to enhance employees skills and career growth. Ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Review exit survey data to identify areas for improvement and leverage the data to develop new strategies and programs to meet the needs of the campus. Develop and implement strategies to reduce turnover and retain top talent.
  • Analyze employee engagement data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Use insights to inform decision-making and strategy development to enhance employee skills knowledge and performance.
  • Remain up to date with the evolving trends of employee engagement and adjust strategy and approach to continue to provide relevant services to campus constituents.
  • Lead or serve on campus committees to actively engage with internal stakeholders and address concerns/needs.
  • Explore connections across campus/system where opportunities to collaborate exist.
  • Develop metrics to measure effectiveness.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices and principles in human resources/talent development
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in HRIS systems data analysis tools and learning technology.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent public speaking communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Evidence of an ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop new approaches to enhance employee engagement
  • Ability to present and deliver content and data in a meaningful way


Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business administration human resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in HR or a related field with a focus on talent development employee engagement career development and/or employee success. This experience must include 3 years of leadership in one or more of these areas.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Masters Degree in business administration human resources or related field.
  • PHR SPHR SHRM-CP SHRM-CSP or comparable designations.
  • Experience working in higher education.

Anticipated annual salary range upon hire is $130000 $135000.
