Job Description
Were looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to support accurate and timely payments across the University - from vendor invoices and staff reimbursements to purchasing card transactions. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your own portfolio of suppliers and process transactions in line with University policies.
- Accurately process vendor invoices staff reimbursements and purchasing card transactions.
- Conduct weekly domestic payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
- Use TechnologyOne and OCR systems to process transactions efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is afull time fixed-term role(July 2025 July 2026) based at our Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land) with hybrid work flexibility (up to 40% work-from-home).
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- A certificate-level qualification in accounting or business or equivalent experience.
- 35 years experience in accounts payable or purchasing card management.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive customer-focused approach.
- Experience with TechnologyOne or a similar ERP system is desired.
Eligibility
- You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo background checks including criminal history check.

- Salary:$74491 - $80972 plus 17% superannuation commensurate with your skills and experience.
