Statement of Duties: Performs psychological assessments and presents in Team meetings in an oral and written format primarily for secondary level students. Provides individual and group therapy to designated special needs students primarily secondary level. Provides crisis intervention. Screens referrals in conjunction with other designated school personnel Participates in the pre-referral process as needed. Consults on a regular basis with classroom teachers regarding special needs students. Performs other duties assigned by the District Principal or the Director of Pupil Personnel directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and policies of the Saugus School : Licensed by The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Massachusetts as a School Psychologist. . in counseling or school psychology. Knowledge of integration and inclusive models of instruction. Knowledge of curriculum modifications behavior management strategies and learning styles. Ability to perform and interpret psychological evaluations including projectives. Ability to provide individual and small group therapy to the school-age students. Ability to work closely and harmoniously with parents teachers and administrators. Knowledge of special education programs and regulations.
