Clerical Aide

Base Rate:
$16.31
Performance Pay:
Available annually
New hire experience:
1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement up to aten-year maximum
New hire education:
1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position
Class/Calendar:
A119.25 months

Part-time (29 hours per week)

OVERVIEW:
To assist the Assistant Principal with the organization of the after-school discipline program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School education or equivalent
- Bilingual English/Spanish helpful
- Moderate proficiency in typing with good accuracy; average test battery
- Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word Excel etc)
- Ability to operate general office machines and equipment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students parents/guardians district employees and public
- Ability to take initiative and to work with constant interruptions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks(e.g. typing filing copying scheduling etc)following standarized procedures in support of assigned personnel
- Prepare instructional materials and documentsfor teachersfollowing established guidelines
- Assist in the daily recording and maintenance of student attendance records to ensurereliable data for district state and federal reporting purposes
- Assist in process the registration of new students and withdrawalof students to provide reliable data for district state and federal reporting purposes
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Regular and on-time attendance required
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
