POSITION TITLE: Community Engagement Manager
REPORTS TO:Deputy Regional Director ADL Midwest
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:None
LOCATION: Indianapolis Indiana
GRADE/CLASS: Grade F Exempt PSA-eligible
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Serve as the Regionson-the-ground representative andprimary point of contact for volunteer and community leaders in Indianapolis and Indiana more current supporters and cultivate new relationships to increase awareness of ADLs work in Indianaandidentify development programmatic and partnership/coalition-building with the Regions Assistant Regional Director for Incident Response and Law Enforcement to respond to incidents in the state.
Responsibilities
Primary:
- Partner withRegionaldevelopment staff togrow the Regions fundraising base in the state including stewarding relationships withcurrent supporters identifyingprospective donorsanddevelopingopportunities to engageboth groups in ADLs work.
- Identify strategize cultivateand sustainpartnerships with key groups and organizationsandcommunity leaders in Indianadirectly correlated tothe Regionswork in the state.
- Managethe Regions leadership group in Indiana including the development and implementation of annual goalsset with the Regional office solicitation of financial support fromgroupmembers and recruitment of new members.
- Oversee the implementation of at least two ADL communityengagementprogramsper year at least one of which will be a fundraiser conducted inpartnershipwith the Regions Development team.
- Identify and promote opportunities for jointprogramming with current or prospectivecommunity-basedpartners.
- Track relevant issues in the state and in local communities provide regular updates to Regional staffand identify opportunities for the Region to strategically engage.
- Identify opportunities to communicate and promote ADLs work to ADL supporters and stakeholders inthe state.
- Be point of contact and first responder to antisemitic and hate incidents in the state.
Secondary:
- As needed support implementation of ADL training programs conducted by Regional programmatic staff.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills including an ability to effectively communicate ADLs mission programs and engagement opportunities with various stakeholders essential.
- Highly organized and detail- and goal-oriented required.
- Problem-solving thoughtful decision-making and the ability to take initiative be assertive and prioritize are needed for success.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfort in working with colleagues remotely across the countryessential.
- Technical competence required. Working familiarity and comfort in database systems reporting and analysis essential. Reasonable level of experience using Microsoft Office software including Word Excel and PowerPoint and comfort learning new technology.
Work Experience:
- 3-5 years experience inbusiness development fundraising and/or relationship cultivation needed.
- Experience convening groups setting goals and keeping groups on-task required.
- Previous work in a non-profit environmenta plus (not required).
- Knowledge of Indianasnon-profitfaith-basedfoundationand/orcorporate communities a plus (not required).
Education
- Bachelors degreeorequivalentwork experiencerequired.
Work Environment:
- ADL is a hybrid environment though this role may be performed remotely.
Compensation:
- This position has a salary range of $60000 to $75000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Indianapolis Indiana.
