Job Summary
The position is responsible for assisting with the diagnostics repair maintenance and replacement of digital hardware software peripheral and audio-visual equipment in a manner that complements the needs and organization of the technology department.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and/or Abilities Required)
A high school diploma is required and a computer science degree or technical school training is desirable. The CompTIA A Certification is also required. Two (2) years of experience in diagnostics repair modification and maintenance of computers and related hardware is required. A working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems Chrome OS and Office products is also required. Microsoft and/or other computer science certifications are a plus. The IT Technician must make every effort to stay current with the latest technologies through job-specific training and additional IT certifications. A current valid Virginia drivers license and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with staff are a must. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
