Our challenge

We are seeking a Evaluation Engineerspecializing in specializing inAI/Agentic evaluation methodologiesand frameworks likeRagas DeepEval and tools likeArize Galileo.The ideal candidateplays a crucial role in assessing and optimizing AI models.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte NC is $120K - $130K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• AI Model Evaluation:Design and implement evaluation methodologies for LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Agentic Evaluation Frameworks:Utilize tools likeGalileofor agent-specific metrics andDeepEvalfor structured LLM testing.
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Assessment:ApplyRagasto measure retrieval quality and response accuracy.
• Performance Monitoring:UseArizeto track model performance response relevance and retrieval effectiveness.
• Error Analysis & Debugging:Identify failure points in AI workflows and optimize model responses.
• Cost & Latency Optimization:Balance efficiency and effectiveness in AI deployments.
• Collaboration:Work with AI researchers engineers and product teams to refine evaluation strategies.

Requirements:

• 8 years of experience as a Evaluation Engineer.
• Programming:Proficiency in Python NLP libraries and AI model APIs.
• Evaluation Expertise:Experience withDeepEval Ragas Galileo Arize and other AI assessment tools.
• LLM Knowledge:Familiarity with models like GPT Claude Llama and Mixtral.
• Data Handling:Ability to preprocess and structure data for AI evaluation.
• Problem-Solving:Strong analytical skills to optimize AI-generated responses.
