SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is currently seeking personnel for our growing crews in York PA. Positions include Track Loader Operators/ Site Foreman/ Pipelayers and Laborers. Successful candidates should possess a willingness to learn have a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
TRACK LOADER OPERATOR
- Operates track loader to excavate trenches fill ditches or load materials.
- Operates equipment in compliance with Kinsleys safety policies and OSHA procedures.
- Ensures company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluids.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job.
PIPE FOREMAN
- Effectively lead manage and motivate crews of 5 to 10 individuals.
- Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors.
- Interpret blueprints project plans and specifications.
- Plan and schedule the necessary manpower tools materials and equipment needed to complete the job.
- Complete daily timesheets and maintain daily logs.
PIPELAYER
- Install new pipes for storm or sanitation sewers drains and water mains in prepared trenches.
- Ensure pipes are aligned properly and positioned on grade and on line.
- Assist with backfilling and operating compaction equipment as needed.
- Recognize and mitigate job site hazards.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the crew.
GENERAL LABORER
- Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment.
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Use various hand and power tools.
- Assist with removal of fine grade stones along curb lines and sidewalks.
- Take and understand instructions from crew leaders.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 3 years of field leadership experience is required for the foreman position.
- Possess knowledge of underground utility installation excavation regulations and pipeline safety.
- Ability to work in a crew-based and fast-paced environment.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Must be comfortable performing a variety of manual tasks for extended periods and sometimes in unfavorable weather conditions.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms legs and movement of the whole body such as climbing lifting balancing walking and handling materials.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
