Project Manager Networks

Description:
We are hiring for our client a key player in Northern Irelands electricity infrastructure seeking an experienced Project Manager Networks to join their team in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on critical transmission grid infrastructure projects that directly support the transformation of Northern Irelands energy system towards a low-carbon future.

This hybrid role (3 days in the office 2 days remote) will suit someone with strong engineering foundations and experience managing complex infrastructure projects ideally within a regulated utility or energy sector. Youll join a collaborative team committed to safety innovation and sustainable progress.

The Role

As Project Manager Networks you will:
Lead major transmission grid infrastructure projects from pre-capital approval through to energisation
Guide projects through public planning processes and manage planning consent activities
Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants across technical commercial and environmental disciplines
Coordinate landowner engagement and secure relevant project consents
Drive delivery across project controls budget schedule quality and risk
Produce high-quality internal reports briefings and stakeholder updates
Mitigate risks escalate issues and ensure timely quality outcomes
Represent the business across stakeholder meetings and project communications

The Person

We are looking for someone who has:
An Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2 years experience managing infrastructure projects
Excellent organisational problem-solving and communication skills
Confidence in stakeholder engagement and reporting
Flexibility and resilience in managing competing project priorities
Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable (but not essential):
Postgraduate qualifications in engineering or project management (e.g. PMP)
Experience within a regulated utility or energy environment
Understanding of CDM regulations project costing and environmental planning
