The Senior Project Manager for Diversified Automation is a pivotal role within the Operations Department responsible for overseeing and managing a diverse portfolio of automation projects. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management particularly within the automation industry. The Senior Project Manager will travel approximately 60%.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning scheduling and execution of automation projects ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational requirements.
Resource Management: Effectively allocate resources including personnel and budget to meet project milestones and deliverables.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders external partners and clients providing regular updates on project status risks and mitigation strategies.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to project scope timeline and budget and implement proactive measures to mitigate their impact.
Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure that automation solutions meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and Subcontractors to procure necessary materials and services negotiate contracts monitor progress and maintain relationships.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes enhance efficiency and maximize project outcomes.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans progress reports and financial records and generate regular status reports for management review.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations industry standards and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience and Education:
Bachelors Degree engineering business or related field
Proven experience successfully managing material handling projects
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project)
Masters degree in Engineering Business Administration or a related field
PMP certification and training related to automation technologies or project management
