NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Jr/Sr High School Spanish Teacher
REPORTS TO: Jr/Sr High School Principal
STARTING DATE: Fall2025
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Shall hold a valid Michigan Teachers Certificate with Spanish Certification (FF).
- Shall be a graduate of a recognized college or university.
- Shall be highly qualified as defined by the Michigan Department of Education.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Teach secondary Spanish classes utilizing a course of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide differentiated and small group instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
- Establish and maintain positive classroom management that aligns with the district-wide implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports.
- Apply standards-based grading to academic coursework keep appropriate records and provide timely feedback regarding student work.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively with the jr/sr high school staff.
