Salary: Teacher salary schedule 20 extra days $7500 stipend

Job Summary:
The special education consulting teacher collaborates with special education teachers school leaders and other personnel to improve learning outcomes for students with disabilities. The collaboration includes but is not limited to direct instructional coaching professional development assessment seeking out of academic and behavioral instructional strategies as well as implementation of strategies in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Valid Idaho Education Credential endorsed in Special Education.
- Valid Idaho Education Credential endorsed in Administration.
- Knowledge of special education law
- Knowledge of current trends in special education instructional and behavior intervention strategies skills in written and oral communication planning and organization.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and present information to a variety of audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate: Understands and engages in collaborative work with special education personnel administration and instructional coaches to improve achievement and growth for students with disabilities.
- Support: Develops and empowers teachers to write effective IEPs and behavior plans and to facilitate efficient IEP meetings as essential tools to ensure learning and protect the rights of students with disabilities and their families

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards
policy on evaluation of personnel. Evaluation will be completed by the Special Education Director.
