Job Description
12-Month Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to support industrial equipment and conveyor drafting projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience creating precise 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and will thrive in a fast-paced on-site environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for conveyor systems and industrial equipment using SolidWorks or Autodesk software
Produce cost estimates and feasibility studies for design alternatives
Assist with layout and facility drawings to support equipment maintenance and operations
Document design processes and maintain drawing records
Participate in project planning and cross-functional collaboration
Support compliance-related training and environmental audits as needed
Must-Have Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional mechanical drafting experience
Proficient in SolidWorks OR Autodesk (2D and 3D)
Proven experience drafting conveyor systems material handling equipment or similar industrial equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Access PowerPoint OneNote Teams Outlook)
Able to work full-time on-site in Atlanta GA
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors or Associate degree in Drafting Mechanical Design or related field
Experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project or Excel)
