Job Description

As a Manager Talent Business Partner (TBP) you will serve as a thought partner primary talent advisor and implementation lead on all matters related to people and culture for our Total Fund Management (TFM) Capital Markets and Factor Investing (CMF) and Finance Departments. Working with the leadership team you will also be responsible for supporting the continuous development implementation and improvement of core talent solutions and deliverables in line with the organization and departments strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Managing Director Talent Business Partner you will work closely with other global TBP team members as well as colleagues from our Talent Centers of Expertise to deliver on your mandate.

As the ideal candidate you are recognized for your sound judgement on complex talent issues your ability to advise and coach line leaders and your insights on talent management. You are curious outcomes-focused and able to toggle between strategic framing and operational execution. You bring an innovative yet practical approach and have an excellent track record as a human resources practitioner developed in a knowledge-based industry and in global complex environments. You enjoy executing initiatives and navigating your clients through organizational change and you are a highly effective communicator who builds trusted relationships with team members senior partners and stakeholders.

This is a 18-month contract (with benefits).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key member of the TBP team in the execution of talent processes seeking alignment simplification and scalability as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to provide support and coaching to people leaders on talent management programs and solutions building strong partnerships across the organization.
  • Own and deliver discrete projects and cyclical talent processes leveraging insight and support from Centre of Expertise and Talent Business Partner teams as necessary.
  • Support the identification and acceleration of internal successors ensuring clearly articulated development plans.
  • Proactively identify improvements to processes and operational efficiencies and collaborate with colleagues from across the Talent department to document and implement changes/updates.
  • Leverage Talent data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations on complex situations informing decision making and driving continuous improvement.
  • Integrate understanding of domain and client expertise to assess risk and identify new ideas and solutions for broadly defined problems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert when contributing to Group and Department initiatives and projects.

 


Qualifications :

 

  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field
  • 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Work Excel PowerPoint etc.) and leading HR Information Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of global Talent principles and practices as well as performance management and employee relations sufficient to provide advice to people leaders and employees on complex or non-standard issues.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting Talent data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply judgement and experience when presented with ambiguity.
  • Experience fostering effective working relationships at all levels internally and with external parties.
