Overview
For more than 70 years Mercy Medical Center Redding has offered comprehensive health care in the North State providing acute care and a full range of medical services. The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. In addition the hospitals network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living. Responsibilities
The Scheduling Coordinator coordinates centralized scheduling activities for the facility. TheScheduling Coordinatorserves as a resource for physician surgeon offices regarding scheduling needs. TheScheduling Coordinatorprovides training to physician office schedulers as needed to ensure efficient departmental operations. In addition theScheduling Coordinatorassists management with the daily operations of the department which includes ensuring staff records and requirements including appropriate licenses and certifications are maintained. TheScheduling Coordinatoralso coordinates block scheduling for the department to ensure maximum utilization of OR time.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Three (3) years experience in Perioperative/Centralized scheduling
- Bachelors degree in a related field required (experience may be accepted in lieu of education)
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience
- Working knowledge of computerized information systems for the operating suite
