Job Description
Job Summary:
The General Manager Home Interiors will be responsible for driving the vision design strategy and execution of interior product offerings across all markets. This executive leader will oversee product development sourcing merchandising and design direction for the home interiors division ensuring alignment with brand standards customer preferences and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the home interiors division including product design merchandising and market positioning.
- Lead cross-functional teams in product development design sourcing and marketing to ensure cohesive execution.
- Monitor interior design trends customer preferences and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align product assortments with promotional campaigns and sales goals.
- Establish and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality cost-efficiency and timely delivery.
- Manage financial performance including budgeting forecasting and profitability analysis for the interiors category.
- Represent the brand in industry events design expos and vendor meetings to promote innovation and industry leadership.
- Recruit mentor and retain high-performing talent within the interiors division.
- Drive sustainability and innovation initiatives across the product lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Interior Design Architecture Business Administration or a related field (Masters preferred).
- 10 years of senior-level experience in home interiors furniture or consumer products industry.
- Proven track record of managing design and merchandising teams and launching successful home product lines.
- Strong understanding of consumer trends retail dynamics and global supply chains.
- Excellent leadership negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience with omni channel retail strategies (e.g. DTC wholesale online marketplaces) is a plus.
- Location preference - Mumbai Only
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD SketchUp Adobe Creative Suite).
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in product design and sourcing.
- Familiarity with international design trends and global vendor networks.
