As a key financial leader within our organization the Segment Controller will play a critical role in shaping and driving the financial success of Clariants Oil Business. Based in The Woodlands TX this role is designed for a strategic forward-thinking professional who thrives on delivering results challenging the status quo and partnering closely with senior leadership. This position offers the opportunity to impact global operations contribute to growth strategy execution and join a performance-driven team that values integrity agility and collaboration. Reporting directly to the Head of Controlling- Care Chemicals and working in close alignment with Segment Heads you will help define financial strategies enhance operational performance and influence key business decisions in a complex international environment.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to Segment Head(s) co-owning financial performance and KPIs.
  • Ensure excellence in segment controlling infrastructure including budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Drive cost control pricing and margin management risk mitigation and net working capital optimization.
  • Support and lead segment-related M&A activities (screening modeling structuring).
  • Act as the BUs regional finance partner depending on location-specific needs.
  • Foster collaboration within the global controlling team promoting performance improvement and process efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 57 years in financial controlling or finance roles within complex matrix organization
  • Hands-on experience with M&A processes and financial modeling preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are highly valued.
