Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Transport Officer on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 18.80 - 24.78 per hour
Summary:
The Transport Officer Operations is responsible for managing the daily operations of passenger transport services for Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Adult Social Care (ASC) within the borough. The role ensures efficient resource allocation safe and timely service delivery and promotes independence for users wherever appropriate. The officer leads a team of passenger assistants and liaises with internal departments and external providers to maintain high standards of care safety and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe legal and cost-effective passenger transport tailored to client needs.
- Uphold the Councils Customer Care Standards to support the putting our residents first vision.
- Maintain training records and ensure staff are properly accredited (e.g. MIDAS PATS).
- Manage the deployment of personnel and vehicles to ensure service continuity.
- Monitor and manage daily transport operations for SEN and ASC.
Requirements:
- GCSEs in English and Maths
- Current UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
