Whats the role
Were seeking a commercially minded and delivery-focused Business Analyst to join our SME Credit Cards team. Reporting to the Service Owner youll play a key role in improving the end-to-end business credit lifecycle from application and approval to onboarding and servicing.
Youll analyse credit processes identify root causes of operational and customer pain points and develop practical scalable solutions. Acting as the bridge between business and delivery teams youll help shape improvements that enhance customer experience strengthen risk controls and lift operational efficiency.
Term- 6 months
What youll do
- Analyse and map current-state SME credit processes identifying gaps inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Service Owner and key stakeholders to define future-state process designs that deliver customer risk and commercial benefits.
- Document clear and concise business requirements process flows user stories and change impact assessments.
- Support enhancements across onboarding approval and servicing by aligning process improvements with product and policy goals.
- Engage with cross-functional teams - including product operations risk legal and technology - to ensure solutions are executable sustainable and aligned to regulatory requirements.
- Produce documentation and artefacts to support implementation training and operational readiness.
What do you need
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in financial services preferably within credit business lending or product optimisation.
- Proficiency in process analysis and optimisation including current/future state mapping gap analysis and workflow redesign.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and identify systemic process issues with a focus on viable low-risk solutions.
- Strong documentation skills across business requirements process documentation and change impact summaries.
- An operational mindset with working knowledge of credit operations and process execution at scale.
- Commercial and risk acumen - capable of assessing the business financial and compliance implications of change initiatives. Confident and effective stakeholder engagement and influence across multiple business units.
- A proactive delivery-oriented approach - translating insights into action and navigating ambiguity to drive results.
