Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator experienced in loading heavy loads on and off flatbed trailers. The ideal candidate should have strong forklift operation skills and a focus on safety. If you have a proven track record in this area we encourage you to apply.
We are looking for Forklift Operators for our warehouse located in Lakeland FL.
Monday - Friday 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm) full benefits after 60 days paid holidays!
Pay: $18/hour
Forklift Operator will be responsible for:
- Operate a Forklift to move products and pallets safely throughout warehouse
- Ensure orders are accurate and communicate any discrepancies product issues or safety issues with Supervisor
- Stage and place orders on trailer to best utilize space and maintain proper weight distribution throughout trailer for drivers to deliver product
- Ensures company documentation of loading trailer is accurate and complete
- Secures or assists in securing the loads onto the trailers and the closing of the curtains.
- Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operate a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo
- May assist in keeping floors clean and dry with use of floor scrubber
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Effectively perform all essential functions including physical requirements
- Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights
- Experience with operating a forklift with rate rating of 6500 pounds
- Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment
- Basic math interpersonal/team and reasoning skills
- Ability to read understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Flexibility in scheduling able to work overtime as needed
- Use of proper PPE and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment
