Job Description
Redbanks is a locally managed community focused not-for-profit skilled nursing center located in Henderson Ky. Redbanks is currently looking for a RN to education and train our staff. The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for the education and training needs of all team members in the organization with an emphasis in nursing education due to the high percentage of nursing positions within the organization. The Staff Development Coordinator also serves as a Certified Nurse Aide Trainer and teaches the Certified Nursing Assistant classes at the Center.
Professional Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing with KY Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Extensive and proven experience in nursing education with a preference for long-term care education.
- MOI and CPR instructor preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Participates in assessment planning implementation and evaluation of educational resources activities in-services and continuing education offerings for staff patient family and community.
- Ensures all of the clinical in-services of the organization are provided in an engaging thorough and interesting manner in an effort to maximize the retention and applicability for the learner.
- Performs the bulk of ongoing competency testing of clinical team members on clinical and documentation skills. Delegates some competency testing tasks to other clinical leaders when deemed appropriate by Center leadership.
