Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for an Environmental Monitoring and Control Leader to join our team and lead our Environmental Monitoring and Control team in Gore Medical plants located outside of Flagstaff. In this role you will lead a team of associates both in-person and virtually that supports the Gore Medical Environmental Monitoring and Control Program in our Manufacturing Facilities located in Phoenix AZ Santa Clara CA and Elkton MD sites. This role provides tactical and strategic operational support by coordinating and leading the activities of the team.

This position will be located at our Phoenix campus in Phoenix Arizona with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to assure the Environmental Monitoring and Control (EM&C) program operates in support of both Manufacturing and Quality System requirements
  • Coordinate and support EM&C activities by assuring that workload and EM objectives are aligned through collaboration with Facility EM&C and manufacturing associates in alignment with the EM Leader in Flagstaff
  • Develop and maintain competency in the EM&C program through training and ongoing education
  • Coordinate maintain and assure that each manufacturing facility has sufficient EM&C resources in support of facility objectives
  • Provide review of EM change orders investigations cleanroom risk evaluations and room move Quality Plans
  • Drive the Performance and Development Process for the team led
  • Manage Associate schedules and timecard approvals in UKG
  • Establish clear expectations of equitable and inclusive behaviors from associates and act immediately to appropriately address negative impactful or unfair behavior

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience in an environmental monitoring and control program within medical device manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience successfully helping associates develop and grow either through direct leadership or mentorship
  • Experience working within a Quality System AND/OR knowledge of Quality System regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment with clear understanding of equitable practices
  • Demonstrated written & oral communication skills with experience preparing/delivering presentations and leading meetings
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively in team situations across multiple functional areas
  • Demonstrated ability to apply problem solving methodology to understand root cause and implement solutions
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and periodically support non-routine hours of work to meet business requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity and/or understanding of Asset Management Systems
  • Demonstrated experience managing small to medium projects
  • Experience with and understanding of ISO13485 and ISO14644
