As a Community Rail Partnership Officer representing the Mid Anglia Community Rail Partnership in the Passenger Transport unit youll be as keen to collaborate and build a bright future as we are. Your role and responsibilities

Were seeking a motivated individual to become the driving force behind the newly formed Mid Anglia Community Rail Partnership. In this rewarding role youll collaborate closely with the Partnership Board Greater Anglia railways council colleagues and various stakeholders to achieve the boards strategic objectives. Youll enhance passenger growth and loyalty by organising engaging public events conferences and special train services while simultaneously managing essential business operations including maintaining meticulous meeting records accounts and overseeing the Action Plan for promotional activities. Working alongside station adopters and volunteers youll play a crucial role in elevating the passenger experience from station arrival to final destination.

This position offers the perfect balance of teamwork and autonomy as youll receive support from both the council and board while having the freedom to work independently and flexibly to achieve meaningful outcomes for the community and railway network.

You will need

  • ideally to have supported a board or Leadership team delivering action plans and outcomes maximising the most efficient use of Board Members time
  • a customer-focussed outlook to ensure the best experience for passengers on the line
  • experience of working with different stakeholders such as industry partners community groups suppliers and internal colleagues
  • project management administrative target setting and presentation skills will all be called upon but we would expect to develop these in the successful applicant if you do not feel fully qualified yet
  • knowledge of the rail industry (will be helpful but is not essential) - we are looking for someone who can work with people first and foremost so skills from a retail or hospitality background will be ideal for this role.
