About the role ...

Were seeking a highly organised experienced and proactive leader to take over from the retiring Practice Manager and continue to drive operational excellence across a branch network of offices throughout East Sussex.

This is more than a managerial roleits a chance to make a real impact. Youll be working alongside the Managing Partner and Operations Team in Hastings to lead and support over 100 staff across the branch network.

This varied and rewarding position covers a broad range of responsibilities including:

  • Human Resources: Overseeing recruitment onboarding and staff management
  • Office & Facilities Management: Ensuring all locations run smoothly
  • Payroll Pensions & Insurance: Managing key financial processes
  • Compliance & Health & Safety: Keeping our operations safe and up to standard
  • Supplier & Contract Management: Overseeing key vendor relationships
  • Training & Development: Supporting staff wellbeing and professional growth
  • Strategic Projects: Helping shape the future direction of the business

What Were Looking For...

Were after someone whos calm under pressure confident in their decision-making and passionate about people and process. Ideally youll bring:

  • Operational or HR management experience (within a legal or professional services setting highly desirable)
  • A legal sector background with understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A solutions-focused adaptable mindset
  • Strong judgment and the ability to balance day-to-day duties with big-picture thinking
