Job Description
Procurement Manager
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage purchasing forecasts by analyzing trends in historical demand promotional activity and market behavior
- Partner with inventory teams to maintain ideal stock levels through strategic minimum/maximum thresholds for imported products
- Project future sales volumes to ensure consistent inventory flow and clear visibility of upcoming supply requirements
- Manage import documentation to align with regulatory standards and SQF audit requirements
- Work closely with the QA team to preemptively address expiring documentation
- Cultivate dependable supplier relationships to secure prompt certification updates and other critical compliance materials
- Procure products from domestic and international sources to ensure a diverse and resilient supply chain
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between purchasing and sales teams to align strategic goals and operational plans
- Establish and sustain long-term relationships with global suppliers
- Coordinate closely with suppliers to implement reliable sustainable procurement programs and ensure alignment on shipment forecasts
- Ensure smooth customs clearance and proactively resolve import-related issues
- Supervise the preparation and accuracy of import documentation in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Admin Supply Chain Management or related field
- 5 years of relevant experience in Purchasing Supply Chain Procurement departments.
- Previous Meat industry experience is required
- ERP system experience; Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with inventory management systems and forecasting tools
- Familiar with SQF standards and audit requirements is a plus
