Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Finance to join our clients leadership team in Cornwall Prince Edward Island. This permanent full-time on-site role offers a competitive salary and is ideal for a forward-thinking finance professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence.
As a key member of the senior team the Director of Finance will oversee all financial aspects of the businessincluding strategy development budgeting cash flow management and providing insight-driven recommendations to support long-term growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Lead the companys financial strategy planning and analysis
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic goals
- Manage all financial reporting activities ensuring timely and accurate delivery of statements and analysis
- Monitor and report financial trends identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
- Manage cash flow including accounts receivable accounts payable and working capital
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and risk management policies
- Evaluate and refine financial systems procedures and controls to enhance efficiency
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on financial decisions and business operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders external auditors and financial institutions
- Lead and mentor the finance team ensuring the right people are in the right roles
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in a senior financial management role ideally within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of financial principles budgeting forecasting and compliance
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and hold team members accountable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new systems and maximize the use of financial software
- $110000 $120000 per year commensurate with experience.
