Are you passionate about leading transformative sustainability initiatives with real-world impact At Clariant were seeking an experienced Sustainability Climate Manager (M/F/D) to join our team in Frankfurt (Germany) or Pratteln (Switzerland) and spearhead our ambitious climate strategy with a particular focus on Scope 3 emissions across our value chain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our Climate Strategy: Pioneer the development and implementation of Clariants forward-thinking climate action initiatives with special emphasis on Scope 3 emissions management.
  • Transform Data into Action: Leverage your expertise to calculate validate and effectively communicate greenhouse gas emissions data throughout our global value chain.
  • Drive Digital Innovation: Champion the digital transformation of our climate management through automated reporting processes that meet evolving disclosure requirements.
  • Shape Strategic Direction: Identify climate-related opportunities and develop adaptation strategies aligned with TCFD and CSRD frameworks.
  • Influence Decision-Making: Analyze climate-relevant financial metrics and market developments to guide our sustainability objectives.
  • Elevate Our Reputation: Position Clariants climate leadership in external reporting ratings and industry rankings.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Excellence: Orchestrate collaboration between sustainable procurement and business teams while engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Represent Industry Leadership: Collaborate with prestigious associations like CEFIC and WBCSD to ensure thought leadership internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Environmental or Sustainability Management.
  • 5 years of experience in the chemical industry with specific expertise in Scope 3 emissions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities particularly presenting to C-suite executives.
  • Strategic mindset balancing short and long-term sustainability objectives.
  • Business fluent English (additional languages advantageous).
  • Business fluent in English (written and verbal) every other language is advantage.
  • Self-driven work ethic with consultative approach to problem-solving.
